everytime i open up internet explorer, i see the latest headlines on yahoo.. guess what i saw today..
singapore going into recession..
haii..
nothing good happens these today, except that 95 octane has fallen to 1.896/l. hur..woke up early to book jetatar tix (50%offer starts today) and i'm greeted with more "great news" that thai's new pm has stepped down, more chaos more turmoils etc..
so there goes the family's plan to go bkk (yes once again for me.. i think i go bkk more than i go buangkok..hah..jk). was quite looking fwd to having a full family hol since everyone's bz, going on their own hols and dad said he could spare us 5 days. we actually planned to go vietnam in jul but dad fell sick. we rarely get to go away as a family nowadays, it's always bros and mum or mum and i or us with frens etc. last trip we had was to aust in 2005?so bkk plans on hold cos of the political situation.
then come evening, news of singapore's stock exchange dipped, recession etc.. so here comes more "great news".. why not let's drive up to msia instead?? right..hmm..okay..i don't really mind the scaling back but...what's there to do in msia, truly asia??i don't mind roughing it out, do treks or climb mountains but my parents aint that agile anymore..so how?
on the other hand, it's time to thighten belts, less dining out and the hardest thing ever for me is to cut down on you-know-what. well..trying..or at least gonna try..i'm sure preparation for the exams will distract me right..
it sux..even more with the increase in electricity bills and almost everything except salaries/allowances. what's more we are not entitled to subsidies for electricity makes me nag nonstop and switch off appliances like 500 times a day. the number of times i touch a switch corresponds to a linear equation, depending on whether my youngest bro the brat is home or not. argh..sometimes i feel like i'm 50. and then when we get dividend growths (wont kanna sue rite?) we get the least too..sickening man..the rich do get richer, the middle class gets poorer and the poor gets..er..dunno also..hah..
