yay..the countdown begins, though i'm not exactly sure of how long to countdown to. (~a week)
definately not gonna miss taking public transport, except for the fact that i'm "chauffeured" and i don't need to pay erp/parking. took train to school today for the first time in 3 weeks. guess what greeted me at boon lay? no other than the legendary looooong queue for 179. the queue was probably 200 m long? the start of the queue was ironically at the far/opposite end of the interchange where we alight from the bus. hai..
another pet peeve about taking public, besides the jostling and bad odour is when geniuses like to smoke IN FRONT/BEHIND of the bus stop, out of the shelter but close by. and so when the wind blows in the direction of the bus stop, isn't it back to square one? another thing, some geniuses don't stub out their cigs properly so much so the dustbin at the bus stop becomes like a chimney or rather "the dustbin smoking" which is really damn dumb. then again wind blows and ppl at bus stop have to breathe in second hand smoke. argh. soon i'll kiss goodbye to all these nonsense.
recently while waiting for bus with my friend, the guy she was sitting next to started to pick his nose! omgosh, we had to discreetly shift our butts to the opposite end of the bench to siam his "old gold". the other time, another old man who was sitting perpendicular to me was blatantly digging and digging while looking at me. tmd. he think he filming national geographic or what. free show for all. sorry to add on but also to justify why am i so neurotic about touching mrt/bus handles/toilet doors/railings etc and why i wash my hands a gazillion times is because imagine those diggers touching the handles etc and YOU TOUCH IT. what's worst when they finish their biz in the toilets and don't wash their hands. euw. purlease don't think i'm making a mountain our of a molehill. i've observed that many gals don't wash their hands in the toilet and they open the toilet door with DIRTY HANDS! okay..hmm.. i think i shall stop here. but just know that i'm capable of going on and on about the chain reaction of how dirty anything in public is. :)
anyways trudged all the way to the west just for an hour of lab and a hearty mac D breakfast. was quite fascinating and at the same time disgusting to look at the c elegans (mutated ones too). btw xiao ming did us proud! his clan size is humongous, very fertile indeed.
